Job description:
1 r% o8 z5 o" O4 R! O0 W2 [9 Z. m' j-To identify, audit and select new suppliers in China
& Z0 k) B/ U; J% D" ?-Vendor information research, RFI, RFQ, Quotation
* W5 r7 E, p0 g* o% L/ G$ y7 @-SESPA, risk assessment (Technical, SHEQ)
  e4 Y# m* m" a: h-Verify and correct engineering specifications with support from UK technical
: v* D* O. Q7 N- T-Develop manufacturing methodology & quality assurance plans
( Q/ H6 W: n" R-Drive sampling programs
-Develop packing specifications
7 ?% T: ]+ j5 X% A. i5 P8 `6 o9 \6 O-CAR investigation and Close-out
-Support supply from China smoothly into production
-Manage commercial relationships with suppliers in China
3 w$ M! K( W0 M-Negotiate with supplier for set up the buffer stock and material inventory if request
5 m8 L+ P( o" Y: i$ J2 @! ?-Negotiate with China suppliers for price, supply terms to meet requirement

2 C8 Q- F3 h" ]5 ^6 ?Knowledge Skills & Experience Required:
-University/College degree in commercial or engineering discipline
8 x/ ?5 V" S5 T2 B! c-Sourcing professional with a minimum of 3 years experience in the sourcing function.
-Has very strong experience for sourcing machining and iron casting suppliers.
/ h: |/ q" s) J: N( p" }2 _3 }-Clear knowledge of world-class supply chain processes and techniques
-Strong experience of Manufacturing, technical knowledge and quality control
6 ]$ Z) G2 c5 Y4 [7 I-Strong experience in managing suppliers both commercially and operationally
* b* t  L  @& ?. y1 Z-Capable of networking and influencing purchasing strategy across functions
2 s0 ?5 T/ D4 [# Z# E9 ]: ?-Search, identify, evaluate & select suppliers to satisfy requirements
-Negotiate prices and terms of supply with suppliers
5 \7 _1 S- V' z; z% Z2 }+ D7 D0 l-Develop and maintain strong working relationship between potential and existing --suppliers
2 s" @% Y3 y2 m) q; J, G. K, ^-Drive cost and lead-time reduction programs while improving supplier quality and delivery performance
-Ensure quality assurance systems are set up and maintained to assure the quality of goods supplied from China
, w5 m7 p# ~( u0 U-Well organised personally with good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Self-motivated, smart, natural negotiator, rigid on discipline, self-starter and a good team player
